Healing Begins with a Conversation.
About me
Hello! I’m Charlene Sainz, a Registered Psychotherapist with a passion for helping individuals find balance, healing, and growth. My mission is to provide a safe, supportive environment where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to create positive change in your life.
I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and am registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I’ve always believed in the power of therapy, both from my personal experience and from working with others. Having navigated my own struggles with anxiety and self-doubt, I know how transformative it can be to have someone guide you toward healing.
A modern approach
By integrating techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and humanistic approaches, I work to tailor each session to your unique experience. Whether you're seeking to break negative thought patterns, learn grounding techniques, or explore your emotional landscape, I am here to support you. I believe in creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions. My goal is to help you gain insight, develop practical coping strategies, and ultimately, heal and grow.
Beyond Therapy
Outside of my work as a therapist, I enjoy spending time with my dog, who’s a constant source of joy and grounding. Whether we're taking walks or just relaxing together, she reminds me of the importance of mindfulness and presence in everyday life.
In my downtime, I also love painting miniatures—a creative outlet that helps me relax and express myself in a different way. I find that the patience and attention to detail required in this hobby mirrors the way I approach therapy: taking things one step at a time and embracing the process of creation.
I believe in the importance of ongoing learning, so I regularly attend workshops to deepen my understanding of mental health, ensuring I continue to grow alongside my clients.
